Wildlife-StockPictures.com was established in 2005 by South African photographer Scotch Macaskill. A qualified lawyer, Scotch gave up law after a few years and opted intstead for a career in journalism and photography.

He is a photography graduate of Natal Technikon in Durban (now the Durban Institute of Technology), and has worked on newspapers and magazines in South African and Australia as both photojournalist and sub-editor.

Although Scotch has for some years been running the successful wildlife photography site, www.wildlife-pictures-online.com, he felt the time was right to build a new site dedicated specifically to offering high quality wildlife images at affordable prices.
